The name "Riding the Magic Carpet" is a play on the word "riding," referring to buses, transportation and Metro transit. Shannon created this nutcracker for Seattle Metro and wanted to tie in the transportation element to her design and used paint and cut vinyl to construct this nutcracker. Shannon Krig represents StarDesign Inc. and has successfully created her first community art project with this nutcracker.
