Founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1978, our Northwest seafood restaurants have given us
the time to experiment and refine what we do over the years. Our recipe for success
is tried and true, from the birth of our first Salty’s in Portland,
Oregon, in 1978, to our cozy Redondo Beach restaurant in 1981, to our
flagship on Alki Beach in Seattle in 1985. John Owen of the Seattle
Post Intelligencer called Salty’s "One of the world’s
great view restaurants,” a moniker we are all proud of. Restaurants
& Institutions lists Salty’s on Alki in Seattle in
the nation’s top 100 restaurants.
Our number-one ingredient is people. It begins with our vision of upbeat,
fun, fine dining. We have a very talented management staff and team
who see this vision and execute it with consistency and panache. From
the waterfront on the Columbia River to the Puget Sound, from the Cascades
to the spectacular Seattle skyline, our views are second to none. Our
restaurant concept is inspired not only by what you "see,"
but also by the "sea." We specialize in seafood, and our spectacularly
talented Chefs ensure our food matches our view. To top it all off,
our servers suggest the perfect wine to pair with each dish.
Our fantastic team members go out of their way to make you feel welcome
and cared for, while putting their own magic spin in our recipe for
success. We call it an "Unbridled
Passion for Perfection." This all adds up to our becoming landmark
restaurants in both Seattle and Des Moines, Washington, as well as in
Portland, Oregon. It also adds up to a great experience for you when
you visit us. A great recipe is worth sharing and at Salty’s we
know our guests are one of our most important ingredients. We welcome
you to Salty’s and look forward to serving you with a smile and
Pacific Northwest friendliness.
